Partnership Annual Lunch Set June 18

Nationally Recognized Development Professional to Deliver Keynote

Ronnie Bryant, President and CEO of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, will deliver the keynote address at the annual Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development summer program. The event is set for June 18.

This year’s event was changed from its annual breakfast time to lunch.

Bryant leads the Charlotte economic development organization that promotes the 16-county Charlotte, N.C. region. He is a well-known leader in national and international economic development groups and is an expert with a proven track record in establishing and implementing successful regional economic development programs.

Bryant, a Certified Economic Developer since 1991, is the past Chairman of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the industry’s top international association. Among the organization’s duties is the Certified Economic Development Program (CEcD) which is the designated certification program among economic development professionals. He is also a top leader with Economic Development Institute (OU/EDI), the profession's top training program for economic development professionals.

Among his many honors is the American Economic Development Council’s Robert B. Cassell Leadership award, and he has been designated a Fellow Member (FM) and Honorary Life Member (HLM), the top honors bestowed by IEDC.

“Ronnie is considered to be one of the top, if not the top, community economic developers in the United States,” said Wendy Birdsall, President of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. “He is well-known for his accomplishments in places like Charlotte, Pittsburgh and St. Louis. He is also known as a mentor and teacher for other economic development professionals and we appreciate his availability and willingness to speak to our community economic development leaders.”
